political and military porn
on every TV set and news stand sold.
When everything my countrymen believe
has not one grain of truth, I’ve done my job.
I’ve cheated, lied, and stolen to deceive
(adept at polishing the boss’s knob).
Instead of facts, I estimate and guess.
What power wants to know, this them I tell.
I work to make the world a bloody mess
and cash my paycheck at the Gates of Hell.
I waste my days just making them last longer.
My function: to exist as rumormonger.”
